SEASON PREVIEW
The Covington volleyball, program enters the 2026 season with talented players who had a huge impact last year where the Lady Buccs finished with an 18-5 overall record and was second in the TRC with a record of 12-2.

The Lady Buccs have a new head coach Sloane Green and has two former Lady Buccs volleyball players as assistant coaches, Josselyn Lavey and Destina Wills. This coaching staff has so much talent with 31 players on the roster. This has led to three actual teams – one varsity and two junior varsity teams.

The key players who will provide leadership are the six ladies who are returning lettermen; seniors Alison Sink, Kylie Palsgrove, Ava Hartwig, Cassidy Iddings, Ramsé Vanderhorst and Nadia Ramirez. Ramsé Vanderhorst was selected into the second team in the TRC last season due to her outstanding performance. She is one of the most talented defensive players the program has had for years as she holds two program record; 38 digs in a match and 1053 digs in a career. In her senior season, Ramsé will ad to the records she already set.

One more senior moved into the volleyball program after running in cross country, Mary Larson. Plus, three more players advanced to the varsity level; junior Aubrey Hoying and two sophomore Madelyn Batdorf and Chloe Aselage.

The TRC has talented programs in the sport of volleyball, which puts Covington in situations for several competitive games throughout the year. Miami East, Lehman, Bethel, Milton-Union and Troy Christian are all in the mix with the Lady Buccs challenging for the league championship.
