The Covington High School Athletic Hall of Fame held the 43rd annual Induction Ceremony on Saturday, December 20, 2025. This year’s Hall of Fame inductees included: Nathan Dunn, Class of 2015, Anna Dunn-Sturgis, Class of 2017, Samantha Whiteman, Class of 2019, and Honorary Inductee, Michael Schaffer, Class of 1966.

BUCCS FINISH FIFTH AT TROY INVITATIONAL
JANUARY 3, 2026 – TROY
Covington’s wrestling team put in a solid performance at the Troy Invitational on Saturday, finishing in 5th place out of 18 teams. Eight of the Buccs’ eleven competing wrestlers placed in the top-6 at the tournament.
A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE AT THE GMVWA HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT

The final wrestling tournament in the year of 2025 was a very memorable experience for the Covington Buccaneers as three wrestlers placed in their weight class and coach Eric Vanderhorst was inducted into the Greater Miami Valley Wrestling Association Hall of Fame.
LADY BUCCS DROP HOLIDAY FINAL TO ARCANUM

Covington’s eighth Buccaneer Holiday Classic was enjoyable for fans even though the Lady Buccs lost to Arcanum in the final match of varsity girls basketball.
THE BUCCS LOSE TO BRADFORD BY TEN
DECEMBER 29, 2025 – COVINGTON
The Covington Buccaneers are now 0-8 so far this season after suffering an unfortunate 74-64 loss to neighboring rival Bradford in the first game of the annual Buccaneer Holiday Tournament.
LADY BUCCS DEFEAT FRANKLIN MONROE 49-14
DECEMBER 29, 2025 – COVINGTON
In the opening night of the Buccaneer Holiday Tournament, the Lady Buccs put forth an impressive performance in a 49-14 victory over Franklin Monroe. Tomorrow night the Lady Buccs play Arcanum in the finals.
