MARCH 4, 2026 – COVINGTON This is the 20-year reflection of when Logan Brown became the first wrestler in Buccaneer school history to win a state championship on March 4, 2006. Logan dominated the 189 pound weight class and finished his senior season with an unbeaten 52-0 record. He was coached by Tom Barbee and Eric Vanderhorst, two great men who put him in position to maximize his potential. Below is a link to reflect on Logan Brown’s state championship.

FEBRUARY 10, 2026 – COVINGTON The Drama Club at Covington High School has always produced outstanding performances in school plays and the 2026 entertainment event is scheduled for Friday, March 6th and Saturday, March 7th in the K-8 building.
FEBRUARY 8, 2026 – COVINGTON Members of the Covington community honored A.J. Ouellette for his accomplishment of capturing a Grey Cup Championship with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and how he has represented Covington throughout his life.
JANUARY 27, 2026 – COVINGTON Due to weather conditions there has been a water main break in the intersection of Main Street and Wright Street that has forced a Boil Advisory throughout the entire Village of Covington. There are crews working on repairing the water main break as quickly and safely as possible.
A.J. OUELLETTE IS HONORED BY COVINGTON VILLAGE COUNCIL
JANUARY 20, 2026 – COVINGTON The Covington Village Council honored A.J. Ouellette, a 2014 Covington graduate, during the Council Meeting on January 20, 2026 for his accomplishments in the Canadian Football League where he helped the Saskatchewan Roughriders win the Grey Cup Championship on November 16, 2025.

JANUARY 18, 2026 – COVINGTON The Covington School Board held a meeting on Wednesday, January 14th and approved the proposed calendar for the 2026-2027 school year.
CHASE VANDERHORST IS PERFORMING VERY WELL IN COLLEGE
MARCH 1, 2026 – OHIO NORTHERN Chase Vanderhorst, a 2024 Covington graduate, just closed out an outstanding sophomore wrestling season at Ohio Northern University by finishing fourth place in the NCAA III Regional IV Championships.
FEBRUARY 28, 2026 – VERSAILLES In the sectional tournament the Covington Buccaneers finished 6th as a team and advanced four wrestlers to the district meet next week. Plus, on Friday at Eaton, two Lady Buccs performed well, Ava Ostrov and Chloe Aselage.
FEBRUARY 26, 2026 – TROY The Covington Buccaneers opened up the post-season tournament against a very talented team and suffered an unfortunate 56-27 loss to Fort Recovery.

FEBRUARY 21, 2026 – MUSKINGUM Covington’s 2022 graduate had a stellar performance in college at Muskingum as she closed out her amazing basketball career with 1001 points.
FEBRUARY 21, 2026 – CASSTOWN Covington had three wrestlers win their weight classes in the TRC and the Buccaneers finished second as a team in the league.
