MAY 9, 2026 – COVINGTON The Covington Lady Buccs tied the school record with 48 home runs in the season and Emalyn Johnson broke the individual school record with 16 home runs in the season, which made Saturday memorable despite splitting the two games against Urbana and Beavercreek in the Covington Classic.
APRIL 25, 2026 – COVINGTON The annual CornHole Tournament hosted by the Covington Bucc Boosters at the Covington Fraternal Order Of Eagles on Saturday helped raise money for the Buccaneer football program.
APRIL 22, 2026 – COVINGTON Tim Cline, who is currently the Covington Police Chief, resigned on Monday as he will be joining a larger community in the Vandalia Police Department after his position in Covington is finalized.
APRIL 11, 2026 – COVINGTON The Covington Tomorrow Club extended the annual Pancake Day for the 60th straight year for a benefit to Covington community members.
APRIL 8, 2026 – COVINGTON The Covington Events Association is hosting the 2nd Annual School House Parks Rocks Festival on May 15th and 16th — Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary. This two day event will bring the Village of Covington and the surrounding areas together through music, food, fun and community spirit.
MARCH 24, 2026 – COVINGTON Hosted by the Covington Bucc Boosters, a 3on3 Basketball Tournament scheduled for May 30th and May 31st will provide benefits for the Covington Buccaneers basketball program.
MAY 9, 2026 – ANSONIA The Covington Buccaneers continued their progression on Saturday by overcoming a 3-1 deficit against Ansonia and beating the Tigers 5-3.
MAY 8, 2026 – COVINGTON Covington hosted a traditional invitational for Track & Field on Friday and what made the event so memorable was how the athletic department honored a legendary Buccaneer coach Ron Schultz.
MAY 6, 2026 – SIDNEY The Covington Buccaneers overcame a 2-0 deficit against Lehman by scoring five unanswered runs to capture a fortunate 5-2 victory.

MAY 5, 2026 – COVINGTON Caleb Ryman, a very talented Buccaneer wrestler in the history of the program, set himself up to extend his wrestling career at the collegiate level by committing to Otterbein University.
MAY 1, 2026 – COVINGTON The Covington Buccaneers defeated Milton-Union 7-3 to capture their fourth straight win to improve their overall record to 9-9 and push their league record to 7-5.
