DECEMBER 6, 2025 – MECHANICSBURG Covington finished in 5th place out of 18 teams at the Mechanicsburg Heart of Ohio tournament, despite being down a few wrestlers at the event. Defending state champion Parkersburg South, West Virginia, won the tournament. In all, the Buccs put five wrestlers on the podium with top-6 finishes.
The Covington High School Athletic Hall of Fame will hold their 43rd annual Induction Ceremony on Saturday, December 20, 2025, prior to the High School Boys’ Basketball game vs. Milton-Union. This year’s Hall of Fame inductees include: Nathan Dunn, Class of 2015, Anna Dunn-Sturgis, Class of 2017, Samantha Whiteman, Class of 2019, and Honorary Inductee, Michael Schaffer, Class of 1966.

DECEMBER 4, 2025 – PIQUA The Upper Valley Career Center, an education facility that has had a huge impact of success for Covington students, presented a 50th year ceremony on Thursday that profiled the progression of the entire facility.
DECEMBER 2, 2025 – COVINGTON Five inches of snow fell into the Village of Covington throughout Monday night to Tuesday morning, which set up the beginning of winter.
NOVEMBER 28, 2025 – COVINGTON One day after Thanksgiving, Covington held a Hometown Christmas Cheer evening within the community to set the tone for the final month of the year.

SEPTEMBER 1, 2025 – COVINGTON The Fort Rowdy Gathering provides an enjoyable weekend experience for everyone who attends and also benefits the Covington Community. This 33rd festival was held over Labor Day Weekend and had so many things available for all ages to have a good time.
DECEMBER 4, 2025 – COVINGTON Covington suffered their second straight loss against TRC opponents as Troy Christian handed the Lady Buccs a 54-46 defeat on the home floor.
NOVEMBER 28, 2025 – ANSONIA The Covington Buccaneers opened up the 2025-26 season on the road at Ansonia and suffered an unfortunate loss by one point, 46-45.
NOVEMBER 16, 2025 – WINNIPEG, CANADA 2014 Covington graduate A.J. Ouellette captured the second Grey Cup Championship in a 25-17 victory over Montreal on Sunday in Winnipeg, Canada.
