COVINGTON’S SCHOOL PLAY IS SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 6TH AND 7TH
FEBRUARY 10, 2026 – COVINGTON The Drama Club at Covington High School has always produced outstanding performances in school plays and the 2026 entertainment event is scheduled for Friday, March 6th and Saturday, March 7th in the K-8 building.
FEBRUARY 8, 2026 – COVINGTON Members of the Covington community honored A.J. Ouellette for his accomplishment of capturing a Grey Cup Championship with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and how he has represented Covington throughout his life.
JANUARY 27, 2026 – COVINGTON Due to weather conditions there has been a water main break in the intersection of Main Street and Wright Street that has forced a Boil Advisory throughout the entire Village of Covington. There are crews working on repairing the water main break as quickly and safely as possible.
A.J. OUELLETTE IS HONORED BY COVINGTON VILLAGE COUNCIL
JANUARY 20, 2026 – COVINGTON The Covington Village Council honored A.J. Ouellette, a 2014 Covington graduate, during the Council Meeting on January 20, 2026 for his accomplishments in the Canadian Football League where he helped the Saskatchewan Roughriders win the Grey Cup Championship on November 16, 2025.
SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR CALENDAR
JANUARY 18, 2026 – COVINGTON The Covington School Board held a meeting on Wednesday, January 14th and approved the proposed calendar for the 2026-2027 school year.
FEBRUARY 10, 2026 – COVINGTON The Covington wrestling program honored three Buccaneer seniors on Senior Night and was able to capture a close victory over a very good Piqua team, 39-36
FEBRUARY 8, 2026 – TRIAD Covington freshman wrestler Chloe Aselage won the 140 pound weight class championship at the Triad High School Girls Invitational on Sunday.
FEBRUARY 7, 2026 – VERSAILLES The Covington Buccaneers put together a quality performance in the OHSWCA Regional Duals at Versailles by splitting head-to-head matchups against two teams, Preble Shawnee and Versailles.
FEBRUARY 6, 2026 – COVINGTON The Covington Buccaneers hosted Lehman in the final home game of the regular season as the seniors were honored on “Senior Night”. Unfortunately the final score of the game didn’t close out the way the hometown fans hoped as the Buccs lost 61-48.
