SEASON PREVIEW:
The Covington girls golf program has potential for a solid season as there are eight athletes on the roster and two of them returning with league awards in the resume.

Bella Batdorf, a senior, has been one of the premier golfers in the program throughout her first three years at the high school level and will likely be the leader of the team in 2026. She earned First -Team in the TRC over the past two years and was Honorable Mention in the league as a freshman in 2023.

Willow Pellman, a junior, also returns to the golf course after a solid year in 2025 as she earned Honorable Mention in the league.

Six more ladies joined the team this year, which will hopefully help the program advance to another level. One is sophomore Makenzie Pellman, and five are freshman; Kendall Ullery, Kyle Dues, Mya Sampson, Rylie Salyer and Tessa Lyons.

Dave Tobias is in his fifth year as the Lady Buccs’ golf coach and now has the most girls on his team.

Last year the Lady Buccs only had four golfers in the lineup and finished 3-13 overall and 1-9 in the league.
