JUNE 17, 2026 – COVINGTON The Buccaneer roster is putting on outstanding effort, hard work and enthusiasm to set the entire team up for success in the 2026 season.
The Covington High School Athletic Hall of Fame held the 43rd annual Induction Ceremony on Saturday, December 20, 2025. This year’s Hall of Fame inductees included: Nathan Dunn, Class of 2015, Anna Dunn-Sturgis, Class of 2017, Samantha Whiteman, Class of 2019, and Honorary Inductee, Michael Schaffer, Class of 1966.
JUNE 5, 2026 – ANNA The Covington Buccaneers traveled to Anna on Friday for a 7-on-7 non-contact scrimmage and put forth quality effort against another talented team.
GARRETT PLACED FIFTH AND ALL FIVE BUCCS COMPETED WELL AT STATE
JUNE 5, 2026 – COLUMBUS Covington’s standout senior Day’Lynn Garrett placed fifth at state in the 300 meter hurdles and all five Buccaneer athletes had a great experience at the state meet.
MAY 29, 2026 – CHILLICOTHE Covington’s senior Day’Lynn Garrett and junior Filip McMaken qualified for state by finishing in the top four of their individual competitions and the two relay teams (4×200 and 4×400) also qualified for state at the Regional meet.
MAY 27, 2026 – WAPAKONETA The Covington Lady Buccs put together another outstanding season, but it ended in the regional semi-final in a narrow 3-1 loss to New Riegel.
MAY 23, 2026 – PIQUA The Covington Lady Buccs had one athlete advance to the regional tournament as freshman Emma Havenar finishing fourth place in the 300 meter hurdles.
