COVINGTON – The Covington Lady Buccs defeated Riverside to capture their fourth win in the past five games to improve their overall record to 8-7 with seven more regular season games left.

The Lady Buccs dominated the first two sets by the scores of 25-12 and 25-13, but had to put together enthusiasm that led to a very close 26-24 victory in the third set.

“Really good to see that we could pace our own side of the net and regain focus when we needed,” explained Covington’s coach Sloane Green.

Statistically, Madelyn Batdorf had 7 kills, Ava Hartwig 10 kills and 9 digs, Ramsé Vanderhorst 17 digs and 3 aces, Kylie Palsgrove 10 digs, while Nadia Ramirez and Alison Sink both had 5 digs.

The Lady Buccs are now 4-4 in the TRC.
