BOIL ADVISORY IN COVINGTON

JANUARY 27, 2026 – COVINGTON
Due to weather conditions there has been a water main break in the intersection of Main Street and Wright Street that has forced a Boil Advisory throughout the entire Village of Covington. There are crews working on repairing the water main break as quickly and safely as possible.

A.J. OUELLETTE IS HONORED BY COVINGTON VILLAGE COUNCIL

JANUARY 20, 2026 – COVINGTON
The Covington Village Council honored A.J. Ouellette, a 2014 Covington graduate, during the Council Meeting on January 20, 2026 for his accomplishments in the Canadian Football League where he helped the Saskatchewan Roughriders win the Grey Cup Championship on November 16, 2025.

SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR CALENDAR

The Covington School Board held a meeting on Wednesday, January 14th and approved the proposed calendar for the 2026-2027 school year.

DECEMBER 20, 2025 – COVINGTON
The Covington High School Athletic Hall of Fame held the 43rd annual Induction Ceremony on Saturday, December 20, 2025. This year’s Hall of Fame inductees included: Nathan Dunn, Class of 2015, Anna Dunn-Sturgis, Class of 2017, Samantha Whiteman, Class of 2019, and Honorary Inductee, Michael Schaffer, Class of 1966.

Three seniors on the Lady Buccs’ basketball team had a memorable evening as they were honored by their coaches, teammates and fans before the game started and then Covington cruised to a 48-30 victory over Lehman Catholic.

The Covington Buccaneers put together one of their best games of the season in an impressive 52-40 victory over the Bethel Bees on Friday.

Two Covington girls wrestlers, junior Ava Ostrov and freshman Chloe Assuage, performed very well in the High School Girls Heart of Ohio Invite at Mechanicsburg High School on Saturday.
