SEASON PREVIEW
The Covington girls cross country team is looking to take another step forward this season.

TRC runner of year, Elyza Long will once again look to lead the way for the Lady Buccs. All League Senior Johanna Welborn is looking primed to finish what has been a great career on the course.

Senior Ella White, Junior Kylie Brown, Sophomores Delaney Murphy, Kassidy Turner, and Isabella Welch all return from last year’s top seven. New to the team this year and looking to make an impact are Freshmen Lillian King, Mary Larson, Serenity Weaver, Lucy Welborn, Junior Makayla Vanderhorst and Senior Audrey Tobe.

“We are excited to get the season started to see how much the girls have improved,” said Covington coach Josh Long. “This should be a really fun year and we believe that this team could surprise some people by the end of the year.”
