TROY – The Covington boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Troy Twilight Invitational on Saturday in an event that consisted of 38 schools.
As a team, the boys finished 12th out of 37 teams, while the girls finished 19th out of 38 teams.
Individually, Buccaneer senior Asher Long finished second out of 349 runners with a time of 15:26.65, which broke his own school record of 15:35.51.
Elyza Long led the girls by placing 12th out of 330 runners with a time of 19:06.08, which also broke the school record of 19:09 held by Carly Shell.
Covington will compete in the Miami County Invitational next Saturday.
