The Covington Events Association organized and hosted the 2nd Annual School House Park Rocks Festival, which provided a very fun weekend for a large crowd that attended.

The amount of time community members put in to set everything up and the sponsors who donated money is so appreciated as they all made this festival so enjoyable for attendees of all ages. Throughout the festival there were several talented musicians that made the entire festival so enjoyable. The festival started on Friday afternoon with Zane Michael and then the Covington Band of Bucc Pride played the National Anthem, which drew a large amount of hand claps from the people who were present. Then Titus Bowman, a Covington resident, performed and sang a few songs with Off The Record, a band that followed his performance. Eight Ball drew a lot of praised from the crowd and then Seth Canan And The Carriers, more Covington residents, closed out Friday night with an outstanding two-hour music display.

The weather conditions on Saturday didn’t start off ideally, but fortunately it transformed into a great afternoon of warmth and sunshine. Simple Blaze started off at noon and put together so many great songs on the stage. The Prime Time Blues Band followed up with outstanding Blues music and then Driving Force drew intention from an excited crowd. Mark Cantwil And The Dusty Strays extended the enjoyable afternoon with outstanding music and Stranger provided memorable songs from the ‘80s. ACT-3 followed up with another impressive performance under the large tent that drew praise from the crowd and the festival concerts were closed out by Látter in the final two hours, a time that the largest crowd was on hand at the festival.

What was also enjoyable for everyone on hand was the Drone Show that happened once the sun went down to make the sky dark. The Drone Show was sponsored by the Covington Community Chest and performed by Great Lakes Drone Company LLC, which made this visual presentation so amazing for the attendees at the festival.

Overall, the festival throughout the past two days were so successful for the organizations and the attendees who were there to have some fun. Hopefully this festival continues to provided enjoyable experiences throughout future years.
