COVINGTON – Five inches of snow fell into the Village of Covington throughout Monday night to Tuesday morning, which set up the beginning of winter.

There was a smaller portion of snow that came through the area in November, but this accumulation is the initial beginning of what may be available throughout the winter.

In Covington and throughout Miami County, the level of snow emergency was Level 1 and all schools in the area were cancelled.
