PIQUA – The Upper Valley Career Center, an education facility that has had a huge impact of success for Covington students, presented a 50th year ceremony on Thursday that profiled the progression of the entire facility.
Covington’s former high school principal Jason Haak is now the Superintendent at the UVCC. Haak and the entire UVCC Administration made the success in elevating the facility into the highest level possible. There were so many people within the area who were present during the ceremony and they were able to witness the progression of each one of the elevated educational areas. The entire evening of the ceremony was extremely impressive and had a positive emotional impact on everyone who was present.
What also made the evening memorable for all attendees was the attendance of Jim Jordan, the United States Congressman and 1982 graduate from Graham High School. He is an icon in the area of Midwest Ohio as he was a four-time state champion in wrestling with a 156-1 record. He was also a two-time NCAA Division I Champion in the sport of wrestling at the University of Wisconsin.
