COVINGTON – Covington hosted the annual Buccaneer Invitational at the Covington Fraternal Order of the Eagles Picnic Grounds on Saturday.

The high school girls finished 8th out of 14 teams and the high school boys finished 10th out of 14 teams.

For the girls, freshman Alice Larson led the high school Lady Buccs with a 10th place finish in the time of 21:30.0 and Landon Reynolds led the boys team with a 47th place finish in the time of 20:28.4.

Both of the boys and girls junior high teams had a great day despite not finishing in the team standings due to just four runners being able to compete on both teams. For the junior high girls, Tessa Lyons won the race with a 1st place finish in the time of 12:46.7 and Ivy Long finished 3rd with a time of 13:35.3. Liam Deaton led the junior high boys team with a 6th place finish in the time of 12:01.9.
