COVINGTON – Covington suffered their second straight loss against TRC opponents as Troy Christian handed the Lady Buccs a 54-46 defeat on the home floor.

The Lady Buccs struggled holding Troy Christian in check offensively and the visiting team built a 15-11 lead at the end of the first quarter and held a 27-23 lead at the half.

Troy Christian pushed its lead to 38-32 heading into the final frame and then closed out the game by scoring 16 points in the fourth quarter.

What hurt the Lady Buccs offensively was the difficulty of scoring inside the paint. Overall, Covington only managed to score seven two-point baskets throughout the game.

Covington is now 2–2 overall and 0-2 in the TRC. The next contest is a road game at Bethel on Saturday.
