COVINGTON – The Covington Lady Buccs improve its record to 15-2 overall with an impressive 66-29 victory over Troy on Monday.
The weather was extremely cold outside, but the Lady Buccs were hot in the gym by scoring a season-high 66 points. Plus, the defense made things difficult for Troy as the Lady Trojans only managed to drop in 29 points.
The Lady Buccs built an 18-10 lead after one and a 34-17 lead at the break. After a 51-24 lead at the end of the third, the game went into a running clock during the fourth period.
Maggie Anderson led the Lady Buccs with a game-high 27 points and Delaney Murphy had a good night with a personal season-high 15 points.
Next up is a huge showdown at Milton-Union on Thursday.
