
BRANT – Covington had a tough battle at Bethel on Thursday, but was able to do enough to capture a seven-point win, 39-32.
The Lady Buccs took a slim 10-9 lead after one and was able to outscore Bethel 10-4 in the second period to increase the advantage to 20-13 last the break.
Bethel had some grit and battled back to close the gap to 26-25 at the end of the third, but the Lady Buccs were able to take over down the stretch to preserve the win.
Delaney Murphy led Covington with 14 points.
Covington improves to 13-2 overall and 9-0 in the TRC. Next up is a huge matchup against Northridge at home on Saturday.
