ROBERT L. TOBIAS
U.S. ARMY (1957-1963)

Robert (Bob) Tobias graduated from Covington High School in 1954 and was drafted into the U.S. Army on December 4, 1957. He began his tour of duty in Fort Knox in Louisville, Kentucky for six months and then on June 18, 1958, Bob was stationed in Aschaffenburg, Germany, where he spent one year, 11 months and 21 days. Sergeant Tobias moved on to the Army Reserve on November 24, 1959 and his expiration of term in service ended on November 30, 1963.

During his time in the U.S. Army, Tobias was a member of Company A 9th Engineering Battalion APO 162. He served as a Combat Demolition Specialist and Truck Driver. Due to his outstanding service, Tobias was awarded medals for Rifle and Good Conduct and a letter of praise for Battalion Accomplishments.
