FOURTH QUARTER DOWNSLIDE COST THE BUCCS

DEGRAFF – The Covington Buccaneers were looking to capture their first win in the TRC, but came up short against Riverside 59-54 due to struggles in the fourth quarter.

Covington held a 31-25 lead at the break and were still in the lead 45-42 heading into the final frame. Unfortunately, Riverside was able to outscore the Buccs 17-9 in the final frame to hand Covington a 59-54 defeat.

Another key factor in the outcome of the game was the impact at the free throw line as Riverside went 10-for-14 and Covington went 0-for-2.

Reagan Tipps led the Buccs with 14 points, while Brant Angle scored 13 points and Brogen Angle finished with 12 points.

The Buccs, who are now 2-8 overall, are still looking for their first win in the league as they dropped to 0-6. Riverside was able to capture its first TRC victory as it improves to 1-5 in the league and 3-8 overall.
