CEDARVILLE – Covington has a total of eight runners advancing to the regional tournament in Cross Country – the entire girls team and two boys.

The Lady Buccs team qualified for regional as a team, while Kent Welborn and Henry Skaggs qualified as individual runners.

This was a competitive District Tournament as the girls finished 12th out of 18 teams with 303 total points and the boys finished 17th out of 21 teams with a total of 464 points. Overall, 125 of the 144 girls athletes and 116 of the 149 boys athletes qualified for regional.

The regional tournament is at Troy next Saturday.
