HOMESTEAD – The Covington Buccaneers took another step toward the goal of repeating as conference champions with a victory over Milton-Union on Wednesday.

It wasn’t easy for the Buccs, but they outscored the Bulldogs by 29 strokes, 159-188 on a 35-par course at Homestead.

Cameron Haines led the Buccs with the lowest score of the day, 37. Bryson Hite finished with a 38, Sam Grabeman a 41, Matt Dieperink a 43, Brodie Manson a 44 and Connor Humphrey a 46.

The Buccs, now 13-0 in the league, travel to Lakeland Golf Course tomorrow (Thursday) against Miami East in the final head-to-head matchup in TRC play.
