BUCCS FINISH THIRD IN TRC GOLF TOURNAMENT

NEW CARLISLE – The Covington boys golf team completed the regular season by finishing third in the Three River Conference Golf Tournament on Friday at Sugar Isle Golf Course in New Carlisle.

The Buccs finished with 353 strokes as a team, which was behind 317 strokes by Bethel and 329 strokes by Lehman.

Senior Matt Dieperink finished with the highest season performance for Covington with 220.50 points, which was third in the league. Junior Brodie Manson finished seventh in the league on the season with 205.00 points. Both earned first-team All-TRC recognition.

Junior Jayden Wackler, who finished 22nd in the league on the season with 145.00 pints, earned honorable mention in the TRC.

In the TRC Tournament, Brodie Manson led the Buccaneers with a score of 79, which was fourth place. Matt Dieperink finished fifth in the tournament with 80 strokes.
