BOYS FINISHED 6TH, GIRLS 13TH AT MINSTER IN TRACK

MINSTER – In a very competitive invitational at Minster, Covington’s boys finished 6th out of 15 teams with 42 points and the girls finished 13th with 11 points.

For the boys, Day’Lynn Garrett and Filip McMaken finished the highest for the team in individual events by talking second place. Garrett finished second in the 110 meter hurdles (15.11), the 300 meter hurdles (41.99) and in the long jump (20’11”), while McMaken finished second in the high jump (5’10”).

Alice Larson, a freshman, recorded the highest accomplishment for the girls by finishing third in the 3200 meter run in the time of 12:49.39.

The next competition for Covington is the Miami County Meet on Tuesday.
