A 3on3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT IS SCHEDULED IN MAY

COVINGTON – Hosted by the Covington Bucc Boosters, a 3on3 Basketball Tournament scheduled for Saturday, May 30th and Sunday, May 31st will provide benefits for the Covington Buccaneers basketball program.

In the past there were several years of 3on3 tournaments that benefited the Covington Community and now this event will hopefully bring back the excitement that was established previously.

This entertaining and outstanding event with motivated community basketball players will take place in the outdoor basketball courts at the School House Park in Covington.

In the tournament, there are divisions available in youth (grades 6 – 8) and high school level, and also adults who are aged 18 or older. In the Youth and High School Divisions, the cost is $100 per team with 16 teams available. In the Adult Division, the cost is $125 per team with 32 teams available.

HERE ARE THE TOURNAMENT LAYOUTS

Youth (Grades 6 – 8) and HS Divisions

No Roster Additions After First Game

  • 16 Teams Max
  • 4 Pools with 4 teams each
  • 3 Guaranteed Pool Games
  • Top 2 in each pool go to Gold Bracket
  • Bottom 2 in each pool go to silver bracket

Game Structure

  • 15 Minute Running Clock, 5 minutes in between games
  • Highest score at the end of 15 minutes is winner
  • 1 Timeout per team
  • Overtime- Sudden Death – Can end on made free throw
  • 2’s and 3’s
  • Free Throws – 1 shot and ball
  • First Possession determined by coin flip
  • Ball must be cleared beyond the arc after defensive rebound or change of possession. This includes airballs.
  • Check ball at top of key after dead balls
  • Technical Fouls – 2 points for non-offending team, plus ball
  • 2 Technical Fouls – team forfeits and is eliminated from tournament

  • Record
  • Head-to-Head
  • Point Differential
  • Points allowed
  • Coin Flip

Adult Division – Must be 18+ and must not be part of a HS Team
