It was a magical year for the 2021-200 Covington Lady Buccs as they recorded the tenth 20-win season in the history of the program by finishing with a 20-5 overall record.
In the process, Covington won a share of the inaugural Three River Conference title with a 12-2 record in the league – tying Bethel, who the Lady Buccs split two games with in conference play. Also, the season was highlighted with a memorable non-conference game against Versailles that was played in the historic Hoosiers Gymnasium, the filming location of the iconic movie “Hoosiers”.
In all, the Lady Buccs averaged 50.2 points-per-game and surrendered 33.1 points-per-game.
Senior standout Claudia Harrington led the Lady Buccs in scoring with 383 total points for an average of 16 points-per-game. Senior Claire Fraley led Covington in rebounding by averaging 10.3 rebounds a game.
Harrington was chosen Player of the Year in the TRC and was joined by Carlie Besecker as a first team selection in the league. Claire Fraley was a second team selection, while Gracie Anderson and Maggie Anderson were named honorable mention.
