MINSTER – Both teams put up a bunch of runs, but the Covington Buccaneers fell to Minster 20-10 in six innings.
Minster dominated early by building a 14-0 lead through the first three innings, but the Buccaneers battled back by scoring two runs in the fourth and eight more in the fifth inning, but Minster was able to put the blame away with six runs throughout then final three innings.
Covington tallied eight hits, but committed four errors, while the Wildcats had 16 hits and three errors.
Caiden Hollingsworth and Tanner Palsgrove each had two hits, while Garrett Leistner and Ashton Skaggs drove in two runs each.
The Buccs are now 2-5 and host Riverside tomorrow.
