COVINGTON – The Covington Buccaneers hosted Milton-Union on Thursday and suffered a 6-0 loss to the Bulldogs to fall to 0-3 in the TRC and 1-4 overall.

Milton-Union opened up the game with two runs in the top of the first and the Buccaneers had trouble keeping up with the Bulldogs throughout the rest of the game due to only accumulating four hits throughout the contest.

The Bulldogs pushed their lead to 3-0 with a run in the third and doubled up their score to 6-0 with three more runs in the top of the fourth.

Defensively, what hurt the Buccaneers the most were the four errors committed on the field.

Offensively, Brairen Denson connected on two of the four hits accumulated by Covington, while Kian French and Tyler Jay both stole multiple bases to put the Buccaneers into scoring position. Unfortunately, there were no advantages taken of scoring opportunities for the Buccs.

Next up is a road game at Lehman tomorrow (Friday).
