WEST MILTON – The Covington Buccaneers fell to 4-13 overall and 0-11 in the TRC after a 45-37 loss to Milton-Union on Tuesday.

With just five more games in the regular season remaining, the Buccaneers still have opportunities to get themselves in their best rhythm heading into the post-season tournament.

Things didn’t go well for the Buccs on Tuesday due to unfortunate passes that went out of bounds and some that were stolen by Milton-Union. The Bulldogs out hustled the Buccaneers on both ends of the floor, which made the final result what it was.

Milton-Union took an 11-9 lead after one and a 28-15 lead at the break. The advantage for the Bulldogs remained through three periods as they held a 35-23 lead with one quarter to play.

Finally the Buccaneers began to knock down some big shots and eventually cut the deficit to 38-34. Unfortunately, Milton-Union was able to hold off the Buccs down the stretch to preserve the win.

Covington was led in scoring by Brogen Angle, who accumulated a game-high 21 points. Only three more Buccaneers were able to put a combined 16 points on the board.
