
COVINGTON – The Covington Lady Buccs captured a four-set victory over Milton-Union on Tuesday on a night where the five seniors were honored before the game.
Covington started off with a dominating performance in the opening set by capturing a 25-12 victory, but the remaining three sets were not at the same level the Lady Buccs played at Milton-Union earlier in the year.
Milton-Union built momentum by capturing a 25-22 victory in the second set, but fortunately the Lady Buccs were able to win 29-19 in the third set and 25-18 in the fourth set to secure the victory.
Statistically, Dakohta Kenworthy had 10 kills, 10 assists, 12 digs, and 2 aces, while Hollan Koffer had 9 kills, 17 digs, and 4 aces and Addison Ventura accumulated 8 kills, 22 assists, 10 digs, and 2 aces.
Senior Nell Rodgers finished with 3 kills, 3 digs, and 2 aces and senior Jayda McClure had 6 digs, 2 kills.
Junior standout Ramse Vanderhorst played well defensively as she had 19 digs, while another junior, Ava Hartwig finished with 5 kills and 1 dig.
Covington is now 10-1 in the TRC with three games remaining in regular season.
