BRANDT – The Covington Lady Buccs defeated Bethel in three sets 25-19, 25-20 and 25-20 to improve their record to 11-2 overall and 9-0 in the TRC.
This is the 11th win in a row for Covington, which is a team that has put in the time and effort to improve throughout the season.
The overall individual stats were fairly even because every player had a huge impact in the victory. This is what makes this Lady Buccs special because every player has more focus on the team success than individual success.
Overall, the Lady Buccs tallied 11 aces, 51 serve receptions, 52 digs, 19 assists, 20 kills and 5 blocks in just three sets. These statistics reflects the overall balance of every player who contributes on the floor.
Even though Covington has a two-game lead in the TRC, there are still some challenging league games remaining on the schedule against Northridge, Milton-Union, Lehman, Riverside and Miami East. The success will be determined on how much the Lady Buccs continue to improve each and every night they step onto the floor.
It all starts at home against Northridge on Thursday.
