THOMAS L. ROBINSON

Thomas (Tom) Lee Robinson, the son of James (Jim) and Rosie Robinson, was born on July 31, 1944 and graduated from Covington High School in 1962 at the age of 17.

Tom entered the United States Navy shortly after graduation in the first week of June of 1962. He went to boot camp in San Diego, California and then went through Boilerman Training at the Great Lakes in Chicago, Illinois. Robinson completed his military service on his 21st birthday on July 31, 1965.

Being the oldest of his eight siblings, Tom set the tone for the family tradition of military service as three of his brothers also served in the military over the remaining decade; James (John) Robert Robinson, Jr., William (Bill) Robinson and Gary (Frank) Robinson.
