James Robert Robinson, Jr., known as John Robinson, is 1966 Covington High School graduate and the son of James (Jim) Robert Robinson, Sr., and Rosella Ruth (Cain) Robinson.

John served in the United States Air Force from December of 1966 to June of 1971. During his time in the U.S. Air Force, John was stationed at England Air Force Base, located northwest of Alexandria, Louisiana. He also served in the Vietnam War during his tenure.

John’s military service was instrumental in his family tradition as his brothers Thomas (Tom) Robinson, William (Bill) Robinson and Gray (Frank) Robinson also served in the military. Plus, his daughter, Carrie, served in the United States Air Force for 33 years from 1991 to 2024.
