GENEVA, OH – Carlie Besecker, a 2024 graduate at Covington High School, competed in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 24th with the University of Mount Union and earned All-American honors.

Carlie, a freshman at Mount Union, was a member of the 4×400 meter relay team with three seniors, Kenedee Wayt, Madison Miles and Mary Mason. This group finished third with a time of 3:42.85, which was only .35 seconds short of tying the school record.

On May 3 a year ago, Carlie, who is the daughter of Angie Besecker and 1986 Covington graduate Bill Besecker, committed to the University of Mount Union.
