TROY – The Buccaneer boys golf team competed in the Troy Invitational on Monday and finished sixth out fo 16 teams by compiling 342 strokes.

Covington was led by junior Matt Dieperink, who finished with 79 strokes in 18 holes. His consistency throughout the day was impressive as he finished in 39 strokes through the first nine and 40 strokes on the final nine holes.

Bryson Hite finished with a score of 85 and Cameron Haines carded an 87. Brodie Manson and Sam Grabeman booth finished in 91 strokes and Connor Humphrey rounded out the scoring with 93.

The Buccs host Milton-Union tomorrow (Tuesday) at Echo Hills in a TRC matchup.
