SPRINGBORO – The Covington golf team saw its season come to an end on Monday in the district tournament at Heathwoode Golf Course in Springboro.

The Buccs finished 8th out of 12 teams with a team total of 256 strokes.

Matt Dieperink finished with a team low score of 80, while Bryson Hite finished with an 87, Cameron Haines a 93, Brodie Manson and Sam Grabeman 96.

Although the Buccs came up short of advancing, they put together one of the best seasons in program history. They won a second straight league title with a 14-0 league record, 7-0 in tournament wins and an overall record of 21-0.

As a team they set a new school record with a score of 146 in nine holes. Plus, during the season Matt Dieperink broke a 9-hole school record with 30 strokes.
