SPRINGBORO – The Covington boys golf team competed in the D-III district tournament at Heatherwoode Golf Course in Springboro on Monday with aspirations of qualifying for the state tournament.

Unfortunately the Buccaneers came up short as they finished in 12th place as a team with a total of 384 strokes.

Covington scores were Sam Grabeman 91, Matt Dieperink 94, Bryson Hite 96, Cameron Haines 103 and Hunter Ray 106.

The Buccaneers capped a memorable season where they finished unbeaten in the TRC and advanced to the district tournament.

Expectations will be high once again next season as the Buccs will lose just one senior, Hunter Ray.
