PIQUA – Coming off of a sluggish performance yesterday against Bethel, the Covington Buccaneers showed competitive drive and focus by putting together their best performance they ever had on the Echo Hills golf course with a team score of 152.

“This is the best nine-hole score (152) we ever shot at Echo Hills,” Commented Covington coach Bill Wise. “The previous best we ever shot here was 153. We are still chasing the overall school record of 147.”

Three Buccs finished under 40 strokes as Matt Dieperink finished two under par with a score of 34, while Bryson Hite carded a 37 and Sam Grabeman a 39.

Cameron Haines finished with a 42, Connor Humphrey a 43 and Brodie Manson a 44.

It all led to a convincing 152-168 victory over Lehman as the Buccs improve their record to 5-0 in the TRC.

With a busy week behind them, the Buccaneers have a few days to refine their skills before hosting Northridge next Tuesday.
