COVINGTON – The Covington Lady Buccs came up short against Bethel in four sets 25-20, 17-25, 22-25 and 15-25.

This is the third straight loss for Covington with the previous defeats happening against Miami East and Troy Christian.

Still, the Lady Buccs are playing hard and trying to build rhythm. Hopefully it leads to more success throughout the rest of the season.

“Conference play has challenged us so far and we are finding our rhythm,” commented coach Sloane Green. ?Bethel was really scrappy and tested us at the net as well.”

In the contest against Bethel, Ava Hartwig had nine kills and Kylie Palsgrove recorded seven kills. Ramsé Vanderhorst had 22 digs.

Covington is now 4-5 overall and 1-3 in the TRC. The next contest is next Monday at home against Russia.
