PIQUA – The Covington Buccaneers golf team defeated Riverside 172 strokes to 189 at Echo Hills on Thursday to improve the team record 4-5 overall and 3-5 in the TRC league.

Brairen Denson and Finn Rogers led the entire competition with 42 strokes in nine holes with the par of 36. Denson performed very well as he recorded three holes under par – one 3 of 4, another one at 2 of 3 and the final one very impressive with 2 of 4.

Finn Rogers recorded on under par as he finished four strokes on a five par.

Boston Koffer finished with 43 strokes, while Caiden Hollingsworth and Gavin Clark finished with 45. Brant Angle closed out the team with 48 strokes.

The Buccaneers have a few days with a break before hosting Lehman on September 1st at Echo Hills.
