PIQUA – The Covington Buccaneers put together their best performance at Echo Hills in the early point of the season by beating Bethel by one stroke, 156 to 157.

The key for the team was seven holes where the Buccs finished under par – two by Boston Koffer, Caiden Hollingsworth and Finn Rogers, along with one by Brairen Denson. Caiden Holingsworth finished two strokes under par on hole five with just three strokes.

Boston Koffer led the Buccs with even par on nine holes with 36 strokes, which was a very impressive day. Caiden Hollingsworth finished with 38 strokes, while Finn Rogers had 40 and Jackson Hollis finished with 42. Brairen Denson tallied 44 in nine holes and Brant Angle had 49.

The win for the Buccaneers moves their overall record to 2-1 and 1-1 in the TRC.

Tomorrow the Covington Buccaneers travel to Greenville at 9:00am for the second invitational of the season.
