GREENVILLE – The Covington Buccaneers golf team put forth a great performance in the Sectional Tournament at the Turtle Creek golf course on Tuesday by finishing second as a team to advance to the District Tournament.

Covington finished as a team with 344 strokes in 18 holes, just behind the Sectional Championship team, National Trail.

Senior standout Brodie Manson led the Buccs by finishing third in the tournament with a score of 82 strokes, while senior Jayden Wackler and sophomore Finn Rogers tied for ninth place by tallying 85 strokes.

Junior Brairen Denson finished 25th with 92 strokes and senior Caleb Smith finished 28th with 93 strokes.

The Buccs will compete in the District Final tournament at Pipestone in Mechanicsburg on Monday.
