LADY BUCCS CAPTURE A WIN AT MILTON

WEST MILTON – Covington defeated Milton-Union in three sets to improve its overall record to 6-2 and remain unbeaten in the TRC at 4-0.

Covington started off with an unimpressive showing early in the first set as the score was tied at 13-13. Fortunately, the Lady Buccs picked up their intensity and energy to close out the first set with a 25-20 victory.

The momentum continued for the majority of the second set as Covington built a commanding 24-10 lead. But a few miscues led to four straight points for Milton-Union until the Lady Buccs closed out the second set with a 25-14 victory.

Covington then closed out the match with a dominating performance in the third and final set by recording a 25-8 victory.

The next game for Covington is. non-conference matchup at Russia this Saturday. The contest starts at 10:00am.
